oh wow I just googled ‘how to make a mp3 player’ and ……..there are, in fact, things listed for that. The Make Magazine kit looks big and unwieldy, but the MintyMp3 is both small and designed to be able to swap out the CF card memory with an IDE hard drive…… quick, someone stop me from trying to build an mp3 player from the ground up D8

krazzines replied to your post: why is it that I can buy a 1 terabyte external… And then you have ipods which cost even more and have like 32GB. Yeah, pretty much. The 160gig ones are also exclusively ipods, they’re just the ‘classic’ ones. They’re only cheaper because they don’t have the nice, nifty functions of the newest 32gb touchscreen/video player/etc...

why is it that I can buy a 1 terabyte external hard drive for 90$ brand new but if I want the biggest mp3 player I can find, it’s barely 160 gigabytes for ~250$? it’s not like the player will be solid state memory anyway………. bluh bluh bluh the mp3 player market’s choices annoy me.
